Trevor was born in Cardiff, Wales on August 17, 1911. He came to Canada at an early age with his parents George and Jemina and settled on a family farm at Gull Lake. He answered the call of duty at the beginning of World War II, enlisting in the Royal Canadian Army Services Corps. and shortly after transferred to the Calgary Tank Regiment. Two weeks after Trev and Marguerite were married on May 24, 1941, he was sent overseas where he served his country until he returned home on July 1, 1945. He saw extensive action throughout the war on the Western Front, North Africa, Italy and Sicily. Following the war he had a long rewarding career with the United Grain Growers until his retirement. Throughout his retirement years he enjoyed gardening, wood working and loved to go fishing at the coast. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club of the U.G.G. and a past member of the Loyal Order of Moose. Trev was an honorable human being as well as a loving and devoted husband and father. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him.

“Supposing today were your last day on earth,
The last mile of the journey you’ve trod;
After all of your struggles, how much are you worth?
How much can you take home to God?
The love, joy, unselfishness, kindness, honesty and integrity of the soul goes back with us after death.”

The Funeral Service was held at St. Theodore’s Anglican Church, 5120 - 44 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, January 6, 1999 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Dale Lang officiating. Interment followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Trevor’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
