MAY MALINSKY
1913 - 1998
Margaret May Malinsky, beloved wife of John Malinsky of Taber, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 1998 at the age of 85 years.
May was born May 6, 1913 at Purple Springs, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Christie. She spent all of her life in and around the Taber area. She enjoyed spending time with all her family and dearly loved her grandchildren. May was very active in the community and belonged to numerous groups including the Taber Firettes, UCW church group, Loyal Order of Moose, Royal Purple as a Charter member and was a founding member of the Hospital Auxillary. She won prizes for her baking and knitting at the Taber and Lethbridge Agricultural Fairs and her homemade Angel Food cake was a treat for many.
She is survived by her loving husband of fifty eight years, John Malinsky and will be sadly missed by her loving children David Malinsky of Calgary, Norman Malinsky of Lethbridge, Don (Linda) Malinsky of Taber and Sherry (Earl) Sprague of Edmonton; eight grandchildren Danny Malinsky, Brian Malinsky, Jesse Malinsky, Dillison Malinsky, Nadine Malinsky, Jennifer Malinsky, Christie (Perry Lepage) Sprague and T.Jay Sprague and one great granddaughter Aspen Sprague.
She was predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and John Christie and a sister Kathleen Haworth.
The Funeral Service was held at the Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, December 12, 1998 at 3:00 P.M. with Reverend Ken Crassweller officiating. Interment followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
