FRANK POOL

1947 - 1998

Frank Pool went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 21, 1998 at the age of 51 years. He passed away peacefully at the Taber Hospital surrounded by many family and friends.
Frank was born in Holland on July 16, 1947 and at the age of three he moved with his family to Southern Alberta. He received his early education in Coaldale and later went on to graduate from SAIT. Frank married Rita on April 5, 1974 and were blessed with the birth of their two wonderful children Tyler and MarlaAnn who were his true pride and joy. They spent two years together from 1976 - 1978 in Tanzania, East Africa as volunteers for CUSO teaching agriculture mechanics on a sugar plantation. They resettled in the Coaldale area with a successful business in hog farming until 1993. They moved to Taber where he resided before moving to the Taber Extendicare Facility in 1996 living there until the time of his passing. Frank was a very outgoing, caring, loving person and possessed a genuine love for God and his family and friends He touched the hearts of all who knew him.
Besides his loving wife Rita and his two children Tyler and MarlaAnn, Frank is survived by his sisters Sadie Boersma of Taber, Bonnie (Harry) Slomp of Monarch, Shirley (George) Vink of Visalia, California and Ann (John) Vossebelt of Coaldale; his brothers John (Agnes) Pool of Bonnyville, Melle (Diane) Pool of Langley, British Columbia, Dirk (Barbara) Pool of Picture Butte and Cornelius (Kathy) Pool of Regina as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and their families.
Frank was predeceased by his parents Thys and Antje Pool; a brother Jim; a sister Jenny Coehoorn and a brother-in-law Art Coehoorn.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, October 25, 1998 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.
The Interment Service took place at the Taber Memorial Garden on Monday, October 26, 1998 at 11:00 A.M.
The Funeral Service was held at the First Christian Reformed Church, 3902 Heritage Drive, Taber on Monday, October 26, 1998 at 12;00 P.M. with Pastor Mike Vandyk officiating.
