MARJORIE MARTIN

1942 - 1998

Marjorie Martin, beloved wife of Bruce Martin of Barnwell, passed away on Monday, October 12, 1998 at the age of 56 years.
Marjorie was born at Taber on August 2, 1942 and was the second child of Joseph and Myrtle Beauchamp. She received her schooling at Taber, later marrying Bruce Martin on January 26, 1960. Marj was an active member of the Taber Horticulture Society and was also active in the Girl Guides of Canada over the years. The grandchildren were very important to Marj and the memories of their grandmother will be forever remembered by them.
Besides her loving husband Bruce, Marj will be sadly missed by her children and grandchildren; son Robert (Dawn) Martin of Taber and their sons Logan and Connor; daughter Cindy (Richard) Born of Taber and their sons Tyler and Colton; son Bert Martin of Taber and his son Christopher; daughter Lorna (Bruce) Gilbertson of Taber and their children Megan and Nolan; daughter Dawnelda Martin and her fiance Blaine Carlsen of Calgary; mother-in-law Matilda Martin of Lethbridge; sister Sheila (Bob) Span of Barnwell; brother Charles Beauchamp of Taber; nephews Shawn (Sharla) Span, Warren Span and Jerry (Karen) Ivan and niece Kandis Span.
She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Myrtle Beauchamp, sister Peggy Ivan, nephew Scott Ivan and father-in-law Russel Martin.
Relatives and friends met for Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, October 14, 1998 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, Taber on Thursday, October 15 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Jim de los Angeles Celebrant. Interment followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
