VALERIA PETROV

1924 - 1998

Valeria Petrov of Taber, beloved wife of the late Barney Petrov, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 1998 at the age of 73 years.
Valeria was born at Kobarid, Italy on December 6, 1924. She came to Canada in 1951 settling in Taber where she has resided ever since. Valeria was a long time member of the CWL and since 1958 had been a member of the the Loyal Order Of The Moose.
Valeria will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters Brenda of Taber and Tamara of Yugoslavia and her son Rick of Taber; four grandchildren Laura, JoAnna, Natashia and Jureta; great grandson Christopher and also by numerous other relatives residing in Italy.
She was predeceased by her husband Barney in 1971.
Relatives and friends were invited to Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, September 29, 1998 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, September 30, 1998 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Jim de los Angeles Celebrant. Interment followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
