EULAN HENRY
1919 - 2011
Ortus Eulan Henry, beloved husband of the late Lorendena “Lori” Henry, passed away in Taber on Friday, September 9, 2011 at the age of 92 years.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 6004 - 51 Street, Taber on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. with Joe Wickenheiser officiating. Refreshments to follow.
Eulan is survived by his children Lyndon (Susan Keiver) Henry of Lethbridge, Mildred (Lorne) McNarland of Kelwood, Manitoba and daughter-in-law Janet (Bruce) Stetar of Dubai, UE. He was blessed with eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Lorendena Henry, son Carson Lee Henry, sister Opal (Edward) Clark, grandchild Trevor Lyndon Henry and great great grandchild Lincoln Dale Boyd Gabler.
Eulan was born in Fort Macleod on May 8, 1919, the youngest of two children born to Ortus and Ida Henry. As a young boy, he lived in Granum. After their home burned down, they moved to the family farm at Chin. He married Lorendena Brigitta Kemmet on October 10, 1949. Together they raised three children while still on the farm of his childhood at Chin.
Eulan had been an active minister of the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses since June 5, 1939 and he engaged in full time ministry in 1985.
Eulan boasted a safe and accident free driving record for seventy four years and remained an active driver until his ninety second birthday this past May.
