YVONNE BULLOCK
1925 - 2011
Yvonne Bullock (nee Wood), our mother, beloved wife and lifelong friend of the late David Bruce Bullock, passed away peacefully with family at her side in Taber on Monday, August 22, 2011 at the age of 86 years.
Yvonne was the second daughter of Harold and Ida Wood of the Taber area.
Yvonne’s musical accomplishments as a pianist, organist, choral leader and singer are well known. She completed and passed her grade ten and grade eight piano examinations from the Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto and The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, London, England as well as completing The Choral Leadership course at The Banff School of Fine Arts. In addition, Yvonne was a top realtor in the Calgary area for ten years.
Through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Yvonne was involved in many musical concerts and plays including the production “Music is My Life” at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium as well as being a member of the Singing Mothers that sang 'O Canada!' in the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City, Utah. Yvonne’s talent as an organist also afforded her the honour of playing the Casavant Freres pipe organ at the Knox United Church in Calgary.
Yvonne has been a dedicated member of the Church and served a mission with Bruce in Spain.
Yvonne made lasting impressions on both family and friends from all over the world and she will be sadly missed by her children Robert, Thomas, Barbara Jean, Tracee and her grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family.
The Memorial Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 1:00 P.M.
