GRACE PAULS
1941 - 1998
Muriel Grace Pauls of Taber, beloved wife of John Pauls, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, June 9, 1998 at the age of 57 years following a courageous battle with cancer.
Grace was born at Radisson, Saskatchewan on February 26, 1941 the daughter of Ransford & Grace Hurst. She received her schooling at Rosetown, Saskatchewan and in 1963 she moved to Taber. On October 11, 1968 she married John Pauls and they have resided in Taber ever since. Grace was actively involved in the community and enjoyed playing sports such as golf and curling. She also participated in the Taber Senior’s Band. Grace became known throughout the community as she was actively involved in the family business, Taber Furniture.
Besides her loving husband John, Grace is survived by her mother Grace Hurst of Taber; her children Marilynne (Marcel) Hebert of Richmond, British Columbia, Deborah Maerz (Walter Machholz) of Edmonton, Beverly (Mark) Bellamy of Lethbridge, Brian (Tracy) Pauls of Taber, Lori (Marty) Sperling of Medicine Hat, Darrell (Carolyn) Pauls of Coaldale, Tim Maerz of Taber and Terry (Jackie) Maerz of Taber; eighteen grandchildren Dustin and Michael Hebert; Allen, Shaun and Aaron Bellamy; Nathan and Adrienne Pauls; Shawn (Stacey), Greg and Michelle Sperling; Amanda, Denita and Jessica Pauls; Ashley Langkopf, Tyler and Brittany Maerz; and Kurtis and Kirstie Maerz; a sister Mildred (Bob) Zeigler of Ponoka as well as numerous close friends.
Grace was predeceased by her father Ransford; a brother Rodney Hurst; a sister Patricia Martinson and brothers William and David Hurst.
The Funeral Service was held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Friday, June 12, 1998 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Ken Crassweller officiating. Interment followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
