CLARA PHILLIPS
1910 - 1997
Clara E. Phillips of Taber, beloved wife of the late William Phillips, passed away at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital on Saturday, December 27, 1997 at the age of 87 years.
She is survived by three sons F.W. “Bud” (Kay), Robert E. (Lois) and Harley (Kathleen); two daughters Eva (Bob) Comm and Eileen Berg as well as son-in-law Earle Herbert; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and also by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband William, daughtrs Ethel Mae and infant Shirley; grandson Mark and four sisters Holly Turnbull, Jean Meyer, Laura Harvie and Eva Chervinski.
Clara was born on December 1, 1910 at Worthington, Ontario, the third daughter of Ethel Mae and Joseph Eli Harley. She moved to Horizon, Saskatchewan when she was a year old and to Bow Island in 1923. In 1928 she married William Phillips and moved to Lethbridge in 1971 residing there until 1985 when she moved to Taber.
Relatives and friends were invited to a Prayer Service at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, January 1, 1998 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at St. Theodore’s Anglican Church, 5120 - 44 Avenue, Taber on Friday, January 2, 1998 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Dale Lang officiating. A Private Family Interment followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
