EVA TAMTOM
1919 - 2011
Eva Tamtom, beloved wife of the late John Tamtom Sr., passed away peacefully in Taber on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at the age of 92 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family in the Relief Society room at the church prior to the funeral service on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 between 1:00 P.M. and 1:40 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. with Bishop Wade Steed conducting. Burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
Eva is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael & Deanna (nee Bennett) Tamtom of Raymond; grandchildren Michele Tamtom, Les Tamtom, Linda Wilmot and Michael S. Tamtom; twelve great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Katarina Gabriel and Anna Steinke both of Windsor, Ontario.
She was predeceased by her husband John; daughter Alvina; sons Joseph and John; parents John and Mary Penich; siblings John, Tony, Christina, Regina and Mary Penich.
Eva was born March 29, 1919 to John and Mary Penich. She immigrated to Canada from Sokolovac, Croatia in 1945 with her husband John and son Micheal and arrived in Taber in 1950.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Eva’s name may be made directly to a charity of one’s choice.
The family would like to thank Joan Hart and the staff at Clearview Lodge for ten years of exceptional service and care as well as the doctors and nursing staff at the Taber Hospital.
