John Hiemstra died peacefully in the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at the age of 67 years following a sudden battle with cancer.
A private family burial service was held at the Taber Memorial Garden. The Funeral Service will be held at the First Christian Reformed Church, 3902 Heritage Drive, Taber on Friday, May 13, 2011 at 5:00 P.M. with Pastor Jim Zondervan officiating.
John is survived by his children Anieta (David) Jonker of Red Deer, Marcel (Selina) Hiemstra of Fort McMurray, Darryl (Deanna) Hiemstra of Lethbridge and their mother Nellie Hiemstra of Taber; grandchildren Trevor, Levi, Zachory and a fourth on the way.
