Helen Mildred Miller (nee Judkins), beloved wife of the late Robert Miller, passed away in Bow Island on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the age of 90 years.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 1113 - 1 Street East, Bow Island on Monday, May 2, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Vincent TuanHa Celebrant. A private family burial will follow at the Bow Island Cemetery.
Her memory will be forever cherished by her children, Dolores (John) Hopkins of Fort Saskatchewan; Roberta Roth of Lundbreck; Howard (Anne) Miller of Bow Island; Juanita (Lorne) Schlachter of Bow Island; Kathy (Cyril) Bertsch of Coalhurst; Yvonne (Ron) Schultz of Red Deer; Dan (Chris) Miller of Medicine Hat; Shelley (Gary) Yates of Bow Island; she was also a proud grandmother to fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law June Judkins, Leona Weeks, Gerri Miller and by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert; grandsons Robert Miller and Blake Elliott; sons-in-law Warren Van Tassell and Lester Roth; brother Neil Judkins; sister Violet Grubert and numerous in-laws.
Helen was born on February 23, 1921 at Mawer, Saskatchewan. She lived at Lucky Lake, Saskatchewan and also Grande Prairie. While working in Grande Prairie she met and married Robert Miller. They briefly lived in Halifax, Nova Scotia before moving to Burdett where they farmed for many years. After Robert’s passing, Helen moved to Bow Island where she has resided until the time of her passing.
