SCOTTY FERGUSON
1922 - 2011
Walter Hill Fyfe Ferguson, beloved husband of Kaye Ferguson, passed away peacefully with his family at his side in Taber on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the age of 88 years following a short battle with bone cancer.
A celebration of Scotty’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, 5205 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 12:00 P.M. The family would like all of his friends to be recognized as his honourary pallbearers.
Besides his loving wife Kaye, Scotty is survived by his son Lynn (Sally) Ferguson of Thorsby and their children Julie (Andres) and Shane (Nichole); daughter Deb (Bill) Schmidt of Taber and her children Tammy (Todd) Braithwaite, Marty Ecklund and Kelly (Chad) Adamkowski; daughter Brenda (Reg) Engelson of Taber and their children Dallas Engelson and Stacey (Craig) Florence; son Richard (Anna) Ferguson of Vauxhall and their children Darcy (Danna) Ferguson and Laurie Ferguson; daughter Jeannie Ferguson of Sherwood Park; daughter Heather (Tom) Myndio of Lethbridge and their children Teri Myndio (Nathan), Kim (Trin) Corey and Megan (Brett) Gurr; daughter Kathy (Rick) Friesen of Vauxhall and their children Tye Friesen and Blare Friesen as well as eighteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Richard (Marg) Ferguson of Lethbridge and Roy (Ruth) Ferguson of Brooks; brother-in-law Lynn (Mary) Wenbourne of Taber; sister-in-law Ruth Ferguson of Lethbridge and by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Jessie “Daisy” (nee Fyfe) & David Ferguson, brother David Ferguson and father-in-law Lynn Wenbourne Sr.
Scotty was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Nothing made him happier than to spend time with his family. He was his kids and grandkids biggest supporter in everything they accomplished. He enjoyed time spent with his coffee and legion buddies and the great friends he made at Lake Koocanusa. Laughter was his best medicine.
