HOWARD VALGARDSON

1922 - 2010

Howard Lloyd Valgardson, beloved husband of Victoria “Tory” Valgardson of Taber, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at the age of 88 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Patrick Furtado SAC Celebrant. Burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
Besides his loving wife Tory, Howard is survived by sons Charles (Teri) Valgardson and Bradley (Sandra) Valgardson all of Taber; grandchildren Becky (Carlos), Brady (Vanessa) and David (Regina). He is also survived by David's mother Margaret Iskov; great grandchildren Colton and Ruby; sisters Thelma Rawsthorne and Ethel (Bob) Stephenson; brothers Gary (Patty) Valgardson and Ronald (Connie) Valgardson; sister-in-law Donna Valgardson and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Howard was predeceased by his brother Bill, sisters and brothers-in-law Norma (Van) Haslam, LaRue (Alf) Carter and Cliff Rawsthorne.
Howard was born to William and May Valgardson July 5, 1922 on the family farm where he has resided until his passing. There were many happy times on the farm. Howard’s kindness and generosity will be missed by all.
