1923 - 2010

Maria Krenn, beloved wife of the late Joseph Krenn, passed away in Lethbridge on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the age of 87 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at 6:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. with Reverend Patrick Furtado SAC, Celebrant. Burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
Mary is survived by her children Mary Krenn of Taber, Annie (Stewart) Laing of Hanna and Eva (John) Bell of Taber; grandchildren Jason (Carol) Astalos and their children Justin and Chayla; Jeremey (Lisa) Astalos and their children Hailey and Keira; Shelley (Travis) Kunz; Daniel (Christie) Remfert and their son Avery; Ashley (Rod) Campbell; Sarah Remfert (Stacy Braun); Megan Laing; Stephanie Laing; Dustin (Christine) Bell and their children Justine and Cadence; Jared Bell and Kristen Bell. She is also survived by her son-in-law Ron Remfert; sister Theresa Stillinger; brothers Andrew Stillinger and Michael (Irene) Stillinger as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph; son Ernest; daughter Rosie; sister Ann Kopac; sister-in-law Mary Stillinger.
Mary was born June 5, 1923 in Kukujevci, Yugoslavia to Anton and Rosalia Stillinger. She married Joseph Krenn in Austria on October 4, 1947. Together they immigrated to Canada in 1954 and settled in the Barnwell area. They purchased a farm in 1960 where they would reside until 1988 when they moved to Taber. Mary enjoyed gardening, baking and flowers, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
