Alice and John were married in 1954 and thus began their life together on a farm near Hays. They worked hard together to build a home and raise a family. Alice and John rarely spent time apart. Family was everything to Alice. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. There was a special place in her heart for each and everyone of them. Alice was very involved in the community, serving on the Civic Centre Board, teaching Catechism and also volunteering at the Hays School reading with the students in kindergarten and grade one. Over the years Alice sewed many baby quilts and knitted countless baby sweater sets for charities. She was a true homemaker, loving to cook, sew, quilt, knit and garden. Alice was a very caring woman always putting others before herself.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Alice’s name may be made directly to the Parkinson’s Society of Southern Alberta, 1254 - 3 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta T1J 0J9.
