Jim Peters, beloved husband of Lorraine Peters of Taber, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2010 at the age of 55 years.
He is survived by his wife Lorraine Wilma Peters; stepsons Jim (Yvonne) Herron of Beaverdell, British Columbia, Laurie Melanson of Taber and Ken (Deb) Herron of Beaverdell, British Columbia; stepdaughters Onie (Charles) MacDougall of Taber and Tina (Dale) Herron of Fort MacLeod; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Robert (Deb) Peters of High Prairie, Sam (Vivian) Peters of High Prairie, Irene (Marcel) Kress of Taber, Evelyn (Barry) McIntyre of Taber, Delores (Jerry Alberta) Zsedely of Taber, Wilfred Peters of Coaldale, Jean Phillips of Taber, Rose (Ken) Shusletoski of Taber and Bill (Marie) Peters of Red Deer; in-laws Toni (Garry) Stenson of Fort Saskatchewan, Patricia (Clarence) Friesen of Vanderhoof, British Columbia, Garry (Karen) Melanson of Raymond and Shirley Burns of Grande Prairie as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim was predeceased by his parents Isaac and Helen Peters; brother Ed Peters; in-law Lloyd and Flo Filgas, Rose & Jim Fairhurst and Larry Melanson.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Taber Evangelical Mennonite Church, 5001 - 64 Avenue, Taber on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Dave Wiebe officiating. Burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
