ETHEL WURZER

1922 - 2008

Ethel Mary Wurzer, beloved, cherished and inspiring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend passed away in Taber on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the age of 86 years.
Ethel is survived by her sons David (Reta) Wurzer of Blind Bay, British Columbia and Daniel of Maple Ridge, British Columbia; grandchildren Wade (Terilyn), Warren, Brent (Sue), Gayle, Bryan and Heather; eight wonderful great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters May Hart and Kathleen Grover; brothers Ken Brooks and Jim (Peggy) Brooks and by her niece Bertha Sprinkle of Vauxhall and family.
She was predeceased by her husband Hubert, parents Thomas and Ellen (nee Hulin) Brooks; siblings Howard Long, Walter Long, Irene (Harold) Norman, Dorothy (Clifford Bennett) (Larry Browning), Jack (Bernice) Brooks and Pete (Gertrude) Brooks; Brothers-in-law Leonard Hart and Harold Grover; sister-in-law Lorraine Brooks.
Ethel was born October 12, 1922 in Coalhurst to Thomas and Ellen Brooks. She moved with her family to Vauxhall where she received her education. She married Hubert Wurzer in 1940 and they lived in Picture Butte until 1948 when they moved their family to Cranbrook where they raised their two sons. In 1986 they moved back to Vauxhall for their remaining years.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 324 - 2 Avenue North, Vauxhall on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. with Reverend Mariusz Sztuk SDS Celebrant. Burial to follow at the Vauxhall Cemetery.
