MARGARET SPENGLER
1916 - 2004
Mrs. Margaret Mary Spengler of Taber, beloved wife of the late Mr. Albert Spengler, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 28, 2004 at the age of 88 years.
Margaret was born at Lake Lenore, Saskatchewan, where she received her schooling and on June 22, 1943 married Albert Spengler. They moved to Alberta in the 1950's and for 30 years resided in Purple Springs where they owned and operated their own automotive repair business. Margaret enjoyed embroidery work and sharing Albert's passion for flowers. She was predeceased by her husband on August 19, 1997 and at that time moved to the Clearview Lodge in Taber. Family was first and always remained an important part of her life.
She is survived by her eight children Doreen (Ken ) Szigli of Millet, Arnold (Trudie) Spengler of Nanton, Marilyn (Doug) Walsh of Calgary, Theresa Turuk (Hogi Classen) of Brooks, Emil (Bev) Spengler of Purple Springs, Melvin (Jeannie) Spengler of Millet, Irvin (Karen) Spengler of Lethbridge and Kathy (Randy) Davis of Red Deer; sixteen grandchildren Laurie, Brenda, Kendra, Kenny, Charlene, Aaron, Vaugn, Sean, Rod, Roberta, Mark, Deena, Ryan, Keely, Scott and Matthew; nine great grandchildren Keltee, Tyler, Courtney, Dylan, Jordyn, Sasha, Wyatt, Claudia and Jack; a sister Marie and a brother Lawrence (Sheila) Berscheid.
She was predeceased by her husband Albert, four brothers Joe, Albert, Nick and Sylvester and a sister Annie.
Relatives and friends are invited for Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel (5006-48 Ave.) Taber on Monday, May 31, 2004 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine's Catholic Church (5009-48 Ave.) Taber on Tuesday, June 1 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Father Mariusz Sztuk SDS Celebrant. Interment to follow in the Prairieview Cemetery, Grassy Lake.
