BRIAN SPROULE

1919 - 2004

Mr. John Brian Sproule, beloved husband of Mrs. Anna Catherine Sproule, passed away in Medicine Hat, Alberta on Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at the age of 85 years.  
Brian was born in Taber, Alberta, March 18, 1919, the son of Norman and Daisy (nee Lang) Sproule.  He received his schooling at CY School and later farmed with his father.  Brian and Anna Catherine continued to farm for a number of years, retiring to Medicine Hat in 1997. Brian's hobby was flying. He received his private pilot's license in 1948 and enjoyed flying until the early 1990's.
Besides his loving wife Anna, he is survived by six children Pat (Tim) Redekop of Retlaw, Greg (April) of California, Carol Sproule of Medicine Hat, Susane Sproule of Medicine Hat, Sheila Sproule of Red Deer and Kevin (Hillary) of Taber; four grandchildren Sarah, Tyler, Devin and Paytyn; a sister Shirley (Keith) Adams of Calgary and a sister-in-law Isabelle Sproule of Pincher Creek.  
He was predeceased by his older brother Winston and his parents Norman and Daisy.  
The Funeral Service will be held at the Southland Funeral Chapel (5006-48 Ave.) Taber on Monday, July 5, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Jim Lochhead officiating.
