NORA SCHMIDT

1921 - 2006

Nora Margaret Schmidt, beloved wife of Jack Schmidt of Taber, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2006 at the age of 85 years.
Nora was born on February 4, 1921.  She was raised in the Irma area where she received her schooling.  She married Frank Voros until he passed away in 1946.  She married Wallace Hall and they had three children Earl, Brent and Tammy.  On November 30, 1972 she married Jack Schmidt.
In her younger years she enjoyed playing baseball and was  an avid Blue Jays fan.  She had a great love for horses and cattle, especially purebred Herefords.  Family was first and foremost to Nora and she will be sadly missed.
Besides her loving husband Jack, she is survived by her three children Earl (Judith) and their children Holly, Haley and Hannah; Brent (Susan) and their children Bo, Josh (Monica) and their children Shayden and Shawney  and Justin (fiancée Linda); Tammy (Peter) and her children Dionne (Kyle) and Rane (Brittney); a brother Harry Long and sister Marion Allred.  Also missing Nora are her step-children; Garry (Danielle) and family, Brad and family, Karen (Zoni) Kover and family, Bonna  (Alphonse) LaBrecque and family, Jim (Joanna) and family, Brenda (Reg) Jensen and family and numerous other relatives.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006-48 Ave., Taber on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at 8:30 P.M.  The Funeral Service will be held at Knox United Church, 4929-50 Ave., Taber on Thursday, August 10, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Jim Lochhead officiating.  Interment to follow in the Taber Memorial Garden.
