KEN SPRINKLE

1937 - 2006

Kenneth Lloyd Sprinkle, beloved husband of Bertha Sprinkle of Vauxhall, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge, on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at the age of 69 years.
Besides his loving wife Bertha, he is survived by his children: Gary Sprinkle of Vauxhall, Michael (Judy) Sprinkle of Barnwell and  their daughter Jalyn, Sandra (Gerhard) Faber of Vauxhall and their children: Laura, Alex and Michael, Leslie (Blaine) Wickenheiser of Hays and their children: Jody, Kala and Austin.  He is also survived by his brother Norman (Virginia) Sprinkle and their children and grandchildren; sisters: Bonnie (Darren), Connie (Georgia) and Lana (Miller); as well as Neil Sprinkle and family and Joni Sprinkle and family.
He was predeceased by his parents Victor and Anne; stepmother Patricia and by his brother Art.
Ken was born January 18, 1937 in Lethbridge, Alberta at the St. Michael’s Hospital to Victor and Anne (nee Goertzen) Sprinkle.  He received his schooling in Monarch, Chin, Collington and Fort Macleod.  Ken grew up on the family farm in the Pearce area.  On August 15, 1959 he married Bertha May Norman at St. Theodore’s Anglican Church in Taber.  Ken was employed as a grader operator and battery operator.  In his spare time Ken enjoyed wood working, hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, motorcycle riding, visiting with family and friends and playing mini golf on his course at home.  Ken also enjoyed watching his grandson Austin play baseball and hockey.  He was an active member of the Vauxhall Gun Club and the Taber Flying Club.  Ken had many achievements in life but the one he was most proud of was his family.  He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, November 17, 2006 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Vauxhall Mennonite Brethren Church, 320 - 9 Street North, Vauxhall on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Ruth Preston Schilk of the Lethbridge Mennonite Church officiating.  Interment to follow at the Vauxhall Cemetery.
