JIM STUCKART

1948 - 2009

James (Jim) Allen Stuckart, cherished husband of Karenne Stuckart (nee Selk) of Barnwell, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 22, 2009 in Whitefish, Montana at the age of 60 years.
He lives on in the hearts of Karenne, his wife of 36 years; his children Rachelle (Chad) Peterson and their children Brandon and Ethan; James Brent (Hailey) and their children Brooklyn and Jonah; Christian (fiancée Sarah); Andrew; and Andrea; his mother Blanche; mother-in-law Marjorie; birth mother Olga (Arden) Wingrove; siblings Heather (Bernie) Schmid, John (Wendy) Stuckart and Linda (Doug) Storms as well as many special nieces, nephews and dear friends.
He was predeceased by his father Albert Stuckart; father-in-law Virgil Selk and nephew Chris Selk.
Although much too short, Jim led an incredibly full and accomplished life and had a true understanding of what really mattered. He served two years for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Franco-Belgian mission and often spoke of his wonderful experiences there. Jim also served in many callings in the church. He was a respected teacher for almost thirty years and was a favourite of many of his students. He also had countless special memories of his time spent teaching in China and all the people he met there. Jim was an extremely talented singer, and greatly enjoyed participating in musical theatre and singing at any event he was asked. He was also a talented guitar and accordion player and shared this ability with many people. Jim was absolutely selfless and was always willing to help anyone at any time. He also loved riding his bicycle and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren whom he greatly loved. Jim will be missed for his sense of humour, rubber boots, fanny pack, bottle picking and for being the “thriftiest” man in the world. Memories of songs around the campfire, Christmas Crepes, toboggan rides, and the Valiant family car will be cherished for years to come.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family prior to the funeral service on Saturday, March 28, 2009 between 12:00 P.M. and 1:30 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Barnwell on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with Bishop Eric Jensen conducting. Burial to follow at the Barnwell Cemetery.
