QUEENIE LINDSAY

1918 - 2004

(Queenie) Victoria Mary Lindsay of Taber, beloved wife of the late Joe Lindsay, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2004 at the age of 86 years.  
Queenie was born in Milk River on May 24, 1918, the daughter of Fredrick and Kate Bartram. She received her schooling in Milk River and came to Taber in the early 50's  to work for her brother Mike at the RCA store.  Queenie married Joe Lindsay on September 3, 1955.  Music was an important part of her life.  She was a church organist, choir leader and piano teacher, as well as played in a quartet with Arnold Odland, Stan Bartram, Roy Maier and John Rae.  Queenie was also a member of the Eastern Star.
She will be forever missed by her two sons Bill (Debbie) of Calgary and Brian (Brenda) of Lethbridge; grandchildren Ryan, Nikki and Sharon; a sister Freda Kinniburgh of Taber; brother Vincent Bartram of Port Alberni, B.C.; brothers-in-law Ian Laing of Lethbridge and Edgar Lindsay of Nelson, B.C. and also by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Joe, brothers Ron, Stan, Mike, Ralph and Roy and sisters Zora and Lillian.  
The Funeral Service will be held at Knox United Church (4929-50 Ave.) Taber on Thursday, June 24, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Jim Lochhead officiating.  Interment to follow in the Taber Memorial Garden.
