LOY LOWE
1933 - 2004
Loy Lowe, loving wife of the late Mick Lowe of Taber, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2004 at the age of 70 years.
Loy was born in Taber on October 28, 1933, the daughter of Pat and Cleone Stevens. Living on a farm just east of Barnwell, Loy grew up with her siblings Rod (Judy) Stevens of Coaldale, Alberta, Louanne (Garnet) Asplund of Brooks, Tom (Bev) Stevens of Nelson, B.C. and Barbara Gulmick of Calgary.
Loy met and married Mick Lowe of Cardston on May 21, 1955. They moved to Calgary and later to Kemano, B.C. where they spent ten years raising their family before moving back to Taber. Every community Loy has resided in, particularly Taber, has benefited by her sincere desire to help others.
Loy is preceded in death by her husband Mick and her oldest son Warren.
Loy will be remembered by her children Wayne (Judy) of Kitimat, B.C., Kathy (Dwight) Wojcicki of Grand Prairie, Alberta, Leslie (Leonard) Conlon of Lloydminister, Saskatchewan, Willis of Taber and Frank (Amber) of Lethbridge; thirteen grandchildren Barbara, Richard, Daryll, Kimberly, Russell, Amber, Layne, Brandon, Morgan, Justin, Cyler, Evan and Lynnae; six great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Eleanor Nooski and family friend Shirley Jorstad.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet the family in the Relief Society Room of the Church prior to the Service from 1:00 to 1:45 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Friday, September 24, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with Bishop David Walters conducting. Interment to follow in the Taber Memorial Garden.
