“Gone Fishin”
Derek Emile Lutz beloved husband of Andrea Lutz of Taber, passed away unexpectedly as the result of an oil field accident on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at the age of 26 years.
Besides his loving wife, Andrea he is survived by his parents, Terry Dagg of Taber and Nelson Jr. (Rona) Lutz of Saskatchewan; sister Misty Lutz (Peter Gronemeyer) of Taber and by his grandmother Kay Lutz of Medicine Hat.  He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Sandy (Stewart) Sears of Taber; brother-in-law, Erik Bodnar of Taber; father-in-law, Garry Bodnar (Pat Perl) of Taber; special Aunt Maureen (Randy) Gyorkos of Medicine Hat and by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandfather, Nelson Lutz Sr. and grandmother, Nancy Soucie.
Derek was born March 24, 1980 in Mission, B.C.  He married his high school sweetheart Andrea Bodnar April 3, 2004.  Following high school he pursued a career in welding.  Derek had a passion for fishing and was a real outdoorsman.  He enjoyed quading, hunting and had a love for Fords, life and his pets, Rottweiler Missy and cats: Mary Jane and Vicious.  He loved cooking, he was Andrea’s “Martha Stewart”.  Derek will be remembered for having his own language and a contagious laugh.  He will be fondly remembered by his many family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, November 10, 2006 from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Jim Lochhead officiating.  Interment to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
