PETER KISH

1916 - 2006

Peter Kish of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Margaret Kish,  passed away at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at the age of 89 years.
Peter was born December 15, 1916 in Lestock, Saskatchewan to Paul &  Julia Kish. He remained in Lestock with his family through the early  years where he was raised and received his schooling. He met Margaret  Ann Szigli and they were married November 5, 1940. They moved to  Alberta where they resided at Cranford, Barnwell and finally Taber.  During these years, Peter worked for several employers including the  mine, the cannery, the sugar factory and the Department of Highways.  Following Margaret’s passing in 1959, he worked in construction and  finally settled in Lethbridge in the late 1970’s where he resided at  the Blue Sky Manor and most recently Adaptacare. Peter loved to dance  and enjoyed music and playing his violin. He spent many hours  building wooden rocking horses and swings.
Peter will be missed by his children Peter (Linda) Kish and Mary Anne  Launhardt (Dennis Horvath); his grandchildren Bonnie (Ivon), Gary  (Sharka), Anthony (Nikki), Trevor (Anne), Cary (Trish) and by his  great grandchildren Shelby, Kristen, Bradley, Brittany, Mckinna,  Jelena and Roman. He is also survived by his sisters Charolette  Turner, Rita McKnight, Helen Sentes, Barbara Meyers and Verna Kish;  his brother Paul (Betty) Kish and by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Margaret, his sisters Tessie and her  husband George Nemeth, Laura and her husband John Hussar, Judy and  her husband Doug Gibbard and by brothers-in-law Bob Turner, Bruce  McKnight, Al Sentes and Johnny Meyers.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at the Southland Funeral  Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic  Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, June 22, 2006 at 10:30  A.M. with Reverend Mariusz Sztuk SDS, Celebrant. Interment to follow  at the Taber Memorial Garden.
