MARIA KARL

1913 - 2006

Mrs. Maria Karl, beloved wife of Mr. Joseph Karl of Taber, passed away in Lethbridge on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at the age of 92 years.
Maria was born in Kukunjevac, Slavonia, Croatia on  August 31, 1913.  She married Joseph Karl on January 6, 1932.  They moved from Croatia to Germany in 1953 and on May 21, 1956 immigrated to Canada.  They farmed in the Taber area and in 1972 moved to the Town of Taber. At the time of her passing she was a resident of the Good Samaritans in Lethbridge.
Besides her loving husband Joseph, she is survived by two sons and seven grandchildren; Frank (Maria) Karl and their children Kathy, Annie, Steven, Paul and Chris; Joe (Carol) Karl and their children Brad and Scott and also by numerous great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, August 17, 2006 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, August 18, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Tito Ranola Celebrant.  Interment to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
