HEINO KALLIO
1931 - 2007
Heino Wilbert Kallio passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 4, 2007 at the age of 75 years.
He is survived by his wife of forty-four years Patricia, his daughter and son-in-law Lorraine (John) Belanger of Calgary; his son and daughter-in-law Les (Lisa) Kallio of Taber; four grandchildren Taryn, Tory, Sydney and Austin Kallio. He is also survived by his sister Norma Bressler of Regina, SK and brother George Kallio of Weyburn, SK.
Heino was predeceased by his parents Oscar and Ida Kallio, siblings Alfred Kallio, Jack Kallio and Agnes Gould.
Heino was born August 11, 1931 in Tantallon, Saskatchewan were he spent most of his early years as a farmer. He later spent several years working in Regina where he met and married Patricia Handley. He returned to the farm near Tantallon in 1964, where he and Patricia raised their family until 1981. After this the family relocated back to Regina where Heino worked at the Walter Scott building until his retirement. In August of 2006, he and Patricia moved to Taber, Alberta to be closer to family until the end of his battle with cancer.
He will be remembered as an avid hunter, coffee drinker, practical joker and a friend to all.
A private family service will be held in Taber. A second service will be held in Saskatchewan at a later date.
