Janet Vayro

1963 - 2025

With heavy hearts, the family of the late Janet Vayro (née Hooge), announce her passing on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at the age of 61 years.

 Janet is survived by her two sons, Duane and Steven and by her partner Craig. She is also survived by her mother Mary Hooge of Taber and by her siblings Keith (Susan) Hooge of Purple Springs, Carol Hooge of Taber, Pauline (John) Hymanyk of Okotoks and by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father Peter Hooge, brother Mark Hooge and by two grandchildren, Katrina and Will Vayro.

Born in Taber on November 26, 1963, Janet lived a life full of passion, dedication and adventure.

In 2004, she achieved her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse, graduating from Lethbridge Community College. This led her to become a traveling nurse which took her across the United States, allowing her to touch countless lives with her skill, compassion and unwavering work ethic. Eventually, she settled in Acton, California with Craig, where she built a life filled with love, strength and resilience.

Janet was a strong and independent woman, known for her hard work and excellence in everything she pursued. Her legacy of kindness, determination and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will remain with us always.

A service will be held in Acton, California at a future date.
