JANNY KUIPERS

1925 - 2007

Jannigje "Janny" Kuipers, beloved wife of Liekele “Nick” Kuipers of Vauxhall, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Monday, April 2, 2007 at the age of 81 years.
Janny was born on September 25, 1925 at Midwolde, The Netherlands.  She married Nick Kuipers on February 26, 1954 and immigrated to Canada later that year.  After living in several towns they settled in Vauxhall where they resided until the time of her passing.  Janny was a member of the Vauxhall Seniors. Among her favorite things were flowers, the arrival of newborn calves in the spring and going for walks with the pet dogs around the farm.  Her most precious time was that spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Besides her loving husband Nick, she is survived by her five children Gerrit (Kathy) of Vauxhall and their children Chris (Brandi Ritz) and Katherine (Shawn) Risling (children Cody, Mackenzie and Tristan); Jenny (Eric) Bowman of Taber and their children Jody (Lee) Reid (children Torey, Carsen and Madison) and Tara (Bryce) Bullock (daughter Brooklyn); Betty (John) Jensma of Vauxhall and their children Janna (Ryan) VanHal (daughter Brynlee) and Kaley (Jordan Heerink); Tina (Henry) Tolsma of Vauxhall and their children Jason (Ashley Fox), Jen (Brent) Hopf (son Parker) and Janice; Terry (Monica) of Vauxhall and their children Jordan and Kianna and also by family in The Netherlands.  She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters, a brother and a brother-in-law.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006-48 Ave., Taber on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M.  The Funeral Service will be held at the Vauxhall Mennonite Brethren Church, 320-9 Street North, on Thursday, April 5 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Elroy Senneker and Reverend Jake Covers officiating.  Interment to follow in the Vauxhall Cemetery.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Janny’s name may be made to the choice of one’s personal choosing.
