Georgette was born in Val Marie, Saskatchewan on August 18, 1952 to Leo and Henrietta Kress. When she was an infant, their family moved to Hays where she would attend school in both Hays and Vauxhall. In 1970 she moved to Calgary and in 1971 unknowingly met the man who would become the love of her life, Gerald Sauvé. They went on their first date in January 1972 and were married in October of that year. In 1974, James arrived followed by his sister Deanna in 1977. In 1990, Gerry and Georgette moved their family to Taber where Georgette worked for Johnson’s Drugs for twenty five years. In 1999, her favorite son-in-law Brad joined their family and soon after, Brad and Deanna’s first born Karlee made Georgette a grandma, followed by Kelsee and Kaylee. In 2019, she retired from Johnson’s to spend as much time with Gerry as she could. Family was her priority. She will be sadly missed.

Besides her loving husband, their children and grandchildren, Georgette is also survived by her siblings Jerome Kress, Marcel (Irene) Kress, Bill (Janell) Kress, Steve (Wilma) Kress and sister-in-law Pat Derksen; Gerry’s siblings Anita Sauvé, Robin (Mary Anne) Sauvé, Alan (Val) Sauvé, Ken (Ann) Sauvé; sister-in-law Irène Sauvé and by numerous nieces and nephews.
