Bruce Martin

1938 -2024

Bruce Robert Martin, passed away in Lethbridge on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at the age of 86 years.

The Funeral Service was held at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. with Life Celebrant Shelly Bassett officiating. A private burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.

Bruce will be missed and forever remembered by his children Robin Martin of Taber and his children Logan and Connor (Shelby); Cindy Fauth of Taber and her children Tyler (Leigh) and Colton (Brittney); Bert (Leila) Martin of Hanna and his child Christopher; Lorna (Bruce) Gilbertson of Taber and their children Megan (Brad) and Nolan; and Dawnelda McInnis of Calgary and her children Alex and Elizabeth. He also leaves behind three great grandchildren Maxwell, Miles and Payton.

He was predeceased by his wife Marjorie; parents Russell and Matilda Martin; Marjorie's parents Joseph and Myrtle Beauchamp.

Bruce was born in Lethbridge on October 6, 1938, the only child of Russell and Matilda Martin and raised on the family farm in the Barnwell area. On January 26, 1960 he married Marjorie Beauchamp and over the years they were blessed with five children. He worked the farm alongside his parents for many years, later taking ownership and continuing to farm until retiring to Taber in 2000.

Bruce was a lifetime member of the Taber Royal Canadian Legion and a retired Reserve Force Captain with the Canadian Forces. In this retirement years he enjoyed woodworking, camping and growing flowers.
