1941 - 2024

Beverly Louise Erskine, beloved wife of the late Doug Erskine, passed away in Taber on Monday, November 4, 2024 at the age of 83 years.

A private burial service was held at the Taber Memorial Garden on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 1:00 P.M.

Relatives and friends were invited to celebrate Bev’s life at the Royal Canadian Legion, 5205 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 2:00 P.M with Life Celebrant Shelly Bassett officiating.

Bev is survived by her children David (Dolly) Erskine of Didsbury and their children Stephanie (Matt) Emberley and Ryan Erskine; Deanna (Gary) Glas of Taber and their children Breanne (Chris) Shaw (their children Ainsley and Madisyn), Steve (Willeke) Glas (their children Emersyn, Adalynn and Colton) and Kim Glas; Brad Erskine of High River and his children Sam Erskine, Jesse Taylor and Jordan Taylor; Lara (Dallas) Higgs of Saskatoon and their children Jenessa Higgs (Bryce Davidson), Marissa Higgs, Lane Higgs, Kienna Higgs and Tanner Scott (Chelsea LaPrairie). She is also survived by her sisters Pat Ring and Anne Craik.

She was predeceased by her husband Doug Erskine; parents Fred and Elizabeth Fellger; brothers Fred Fellger Jr. and Allan Fellger.

Bev was born March 8, 1941 in Scandia to Fred and Elizabeth Fellger. She married Doug in 1959 and they moved to Vauxhall where they began raising their four children. Bev worked at the CIBC in Vauxhall for a short time before taking a job with the PFRA (Bow River Irrigation District). She remained there for numerous years until her retirement. Bev and Doug retired to Taber for a few years before moving on to Lethbridge. After a short time in Lethbridge, Bev decided to take part time jobs at Warwick Printing and the Lethbridge Exhibition. They travelled a bit to destinations such as Hawaii, a Caribbean cruise, Mexico and Arizona. While in Vauxhall, Bev was an avid curler and golfer. She held several positions with both the Vauxhall Golf Club and the Vauxhall Curling Club. In her spare time she would sew, bake and knit. After Doug’s passing she joined a social club where she enjoyed playing cards every week with her special friend and card partner Gerald Wobick.
