Mary Veres

1950 - 2024

 Mary Elizabeth Veres passed away in Taber on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at the age of 74 years.

A private burial service was held at the Taber Memorial Garden on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. with Life Celebrant Shelly Bassett officiating.

Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family for a luncheon at Luigi's Restaurant, 5036 - 46 Avenue, Taber on Monday, November 4, 2024 between 1:30 P.M. and 3:30 P.M.

Mary is survived by her sister Madeline Neumann of Surrey, British Columbia and her two sons David and Bill and their families; brother Joe (Mary) Veres of Taber and their son Brian Veres and daughters Kathy Sassa (Frank Szing) and Donna (Sho) Takagi.

She was predeceased by her parents John and Margaret Veres; brother Leslie Veres.

Mary was born August 3, 1950 in Lethbridge. She moved to Taber in 1954 with her family and lived in Taber her whole life. Mary loved her family, friends and animals. She was a gentle, loving soul. Mary loved walking downtown and collecting knick knacks. She enjoyed collecting photographs of her family and friends. Mary was always happy to go out for supper and shop.

The Veres family would like to thank Taber Special Needs for their involvement and assistance. They made her life more independent and richer. Thank you to the Taber Hospital staff for their excellent care. A special thanks to everyone in the community who were helpful to Mary.
