Lorrie was born in Taber on June 16, 1961, where she resided her whole life. Lorrie and Dan were married February 8, 1980. They were neighbours and friends growing up. For Dan it was love at first sight and he knew from a young age he would marry Lorrie one day. They started their family shortly after being married and raised three wonderful children. Lorrie was the best wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister and friend.

Lorrie always enjoyed baking and cooking. Each birthday for her children and grandchildren was celebrated with her cooking their favourite meal and baking their favourite cake. She always made each child feel very loved and special.

Lorrie enjoyed gardening and surrounded the outside and inside of her home with beautiful flowers and plants.

Lorrie enjoyed bowling and was a league bowler for over thirty five years. She will be deeply missed by her bowling family.

Lorrie was very creative and enjoyed making homemade cards. She joined a card making class and this group of ladies became dear friends to her. Lorrie always looked forward to spending time with these gals and she will be deeply missed by them.

Later in marriage, Lorrie and Dan enjoyed travelling together. Lorrie was always nervous about travelling so Dan would plan out an extravagant vacation ahead of time for Lorrie and he would keep the destination a surprise until they got to the airport. Once there, Lorrie loved the surprises and Dan is grateful for those wonderful memories they shared together.

Lorrie was an animal lover. She had a soft spot for neighborhood, stray cats, and brought in and took care of many over the years. Her current house cats Rambo, Sylvester known as kitten, and peeps, are missing her already.

Lorrie enjoyed going to the lake with her sister Kate and family, searching for and collecting unique rocks and fossils and over the years, Lorrie grew quite the collection.

Lorrie was the biggest part of her family’s life. Family and friends will always be grateful for the wonderful memories they shared with her.
