Jolanda is survived by her husband Aris Molenaar, her two children Maarten “Aris Jr.” Molenaar and Berend Molenaar; her parents Pieter and Hilda De Jong and her siblings Ellie Zwaal and Johan De Jong.

On September 18, 1968, Jolanda was born in Krimpen aan de Lek, in the Netherlands. She worked for a greenhouse where she met her husband, Aris Molenaar. Jolanda and Aris were married in 1990 and they went on to have many adventures. They travelled together all over Europe and took their honeymoon in California. Between 1995 and 1997, Jolanda gave birth to their two children, but this did not put an end to the adventures. On September 18, 2006, Jolanda and her family moved from the Netherlands to Spruce Grove. The family lived there for three years before settling in Barnwell in 2009. Jolanda first worked for Tim Horton's in Taber before starting work at Taber Home Hardware where Jolanda was lovingly dubbed the "paint lady". People from all over southern Alberta came to her for her expertise and advice on making their homes more beautiful.

Jolanda took great care of her family and friends, enjoyed baking bread and made a mean apple pie. She ALWAYS made time for the people in her life and she will be missed by many. Those who knew her loved her for who she was. She was a great wife, a fantastic mother and a wonderful friend. Jolanda was very easy going, caring and hardworking. She will be missed.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Jolanda’s name may be made directly to a charity of one’s choice.
