GERALDINE KAMBEITZ

 

Geraldine Kambeitz of Burdett, Alberta passed away January 5, 2009 at Taber Continuing Care.
Geraldine was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta and went to school in Burdett and Bow Island. After Geraldine graduated she went to work at the Taber Library as a librarian. Geraldine then went to work for Dr. Traber as a dental assistant for a number of years. Geraldine never missed a day of work until her retirement.
Geraldine devoted most of her life to the health and welfare of her parents, Bert and Inez Kambeitz of Burdett.
Geraldine enjoyed knitting and crocheting and she was an avid reader. She was a member of the Taber Golden Girls. Geraldine will be missed by her family and many friends.
Geraldine is survived by her sister Joyce (Donald) Reid and her brother Richard (Dick) Kambeitz (Joan) and nieces and nephews Dawn (Michael) Eagles, Darren Reid, Douglas (Kristi) Reid, Duane (Maureen) Kambeitz, Jerry (Cass) Kambeitz, Dianne (Mike) Christou and families. She was predeceased by her parents Bert and Inez Kambeitz and her great niece Kalyn Marie Eagles.
We would like to thank Geraldine’s dear friend Dr. Beckie for being there for her. We would also like to thank the staff at the Taber Continuing Care for the kindness they showed Geraldine.
Relatives and friends are invited for Prayers at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, January 9, 2009 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 1101 - 1 Street East, Bow Island on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Joe Tom Kalathilparambil Celebrant. Burial to follow at the Bow Island Cemetery.
