Helen Anne Reynolds, beloved wife of Murray Reynolds, passed away peacefully in Lethbridge surrounded by family on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the age of 60 years.
The Celebration of Helen’s Life was held at the Enchant Community Hall, 121 Center Street, Enchant on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 1:00 P.M.
Helen will be lovingly remembered by her husband Murray; children Brianne (Eric) Meheden and Brooke (Curtis) Elaschuk; grandchild Grayson Meheden; brother Brian (Erin) Moser and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Henry and Eleanor Moser; father and mother-in-law Dennis and Norma Reynolds.
Helen was born in St. Thomas, Ontario on March 4, 1963. Shortly after, her family decided to move to North Vancouver and then Kelowna a few years later. Kelowna was one of her favorite spots. Helen graduated high school in Parksville, British Columbia and then settled in Coaldale with her family shortly after. She attended Lethbridge College and then worked for the Government of Alberta for many years with social services. After moving to Enchant, Helen began working for Murray Petroleum (more recently JPAL) where she worked for almost thirty years. She loved her coworkers and clients that she got to meet over the years.
Horses were Helen’s passion. She was fortunate to own both pleasure and racehorses for most of her life. She started out racing horses with her dad in Lethbridge and developed a love for the sport that lasted her lifetime. It was always a treat when one of her horses won, but she mainly was a part of it all because of her love for the animals. The racetrack is where she met the love over her life – Murray.
Murray and Helen were married on April 8, 1989, spending thirty four wonderful years together, residing in Enchant. Helen loved living on the farm and had various animals that she loved dearly, she called it “Helen’s Hilton”, as they were all well taken care of. Together they had their first daughter in 1994 and second in 1996, two little girls that she loved more than anything. She enjoyed watching them grow and being their biggest cheerleader throughout all of life’s events. Her next greatest joy was her grandson, Grayson. She absolutely adored him and he put the biggest smile on her face every time she saw him. Even at the end when everyone was worried about her, she was always worrying about her family. She continuously told Murray to make sure he got everyone’s Christmas gifts in order and specific plans for the future. Helen was the strongest and most selfless woman. She never complained even when her health was declining, she found a way to make every situation positive.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Helen’s name may be made directly to the Enchant Community Hall Association, Box 1921, Enchant, Alberta T0K 0V0.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on 4C at the Chinook Regional Hospital for their care and compassion during Helen’s stay.
