Ken is survived by his daughter Karen (Martin) Kaga of Edmonton; son Dennis (Darlene) Setoguchi of Taber and grandson Macrae; son Dale (Stacy) Setoguchi of Taber and grandson Devin (Kelly) Setoguchi of San Jose (their children Matteo, Siena and Gino), granddaughter Dione Setoguchi (Alex) Allen of Stamford, Connecticut (their children Dominic and Roman). He is also survived by his brother Sumio (Shirley) Setoguchi; sister Fumi (Tom) Shimozawa as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Nancy; parents Yukimori and Fujino Setoguchi; brother Bob Setoguchi; sister Amy Nakamura and brother-in-law Jock Nakamura.

Ken was born July 13, 1934, in Nanoose Bay, British Columbia. After the war and spending four years in an internment camp, his family was dropped off in Raymond. They moved to Barnwell and eventually settled in Taber. As the oldest son he had many responsibilities, times were tough. He met Nancy and they were married on December 4, 1954. They started farming north of Taber where they raised their three children, turning it into a family farm. Ken and Nancy loved curling, golfing and skiing, they met so many people and made so many friends. He loved watching his children play sports and later on his grandkids. He was so proud of his grandchildren, and was so happy when his great grandchildren came to see him, he always had many chocolate treats on hand.

If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers and Koden, memorial tributes in Ken’s name may be made directly Alzheimer’s Society, 40, 1202 - 2 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta T1J 0E3 www.alzheimer.ca.

Ken’s family would like to thank the staff at the Clearview Lodge and Linden View as well as Dr. Lieshman and nurse Anne for all their care and support.
