Julius Schlachter

1926 - 2022

Julius Andrew Schlachter, beloved husband of the late Helen Schlachter, passed away in Bow Island on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at the age of 96 years.

A private Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Bow Island on Friday, January 14, 2022. Burial followed at the Bow Island Cemetery.

Julius will be remembered by his children Lorelei Gross of Lethbridge and Larry (Wendy) Schlachter of Cowley; grandchildren Damian Gross and Vanessa (Todd) McKay; great grandchildren Kaitlin McKay, Kenadi (Alex) Crawford, Garrett McKay, Austin Gross and Loewen Gross; two great great grandchildren Maverik and Emmalia Crawford who was born this previous Sunday on Julius' birthday. He is also survived by members of his extended family.

He was predeceased by his wife Helen Schlachter (Emard).
