 The Lord has spoken and to our sorrow has taken out of our family our dear wife, mother and Oma, Mrs. Madelyn Rozendaal (nee Boon) beloved wife of Jake Rozendaal on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the age of 57 years, after another battle with cancer. 

 Madelyn was born on December 20, 1963 to George and Eva Boon of Woodstock, Ontario. In 1982 she moved to Lethbridge, where she met her husband Jake Rozendaal. They were married on July 27, 1984 and she joined Jake on the farm in Hays where they raised their children. Madelyn passed away at home, surrounded by her family. 

 She will be greatly missed by her husband Jake Rozendaal; children Henry Vandenberg, Rence Rozendaal, Anna (Edward) Decker, Jorgen Rozendaal, Jake (Henriette) Rozendaal, Nicole (Noel) Beusekom, Stacie (Gerrit) Beekman, Chelsey (Donovan) Banman and Kari-Jo (Zack) Beusekom; fourteen grandchildren and mother-in-law Aartje Rozendaal. She will also be missed by her brothers and sister, brothers and sisters-in-law and extended family. 

 Madelyn was predeceased by her daughter Evaline Vandenberg, parents George and Eva Boon and father-in-law Lauwrens Rozendaal. 

 A Worship Service was held at the Netherlands Reformed Church of Lethbridge, 48-90022 Range Road 211, Lethbridge on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 1:30 P.M. following a private burial at the Hays Cemetery with Reverend E.C. Adams officiating. 

 If friends so desire, memorial donations in Madelyn’s name may be made directly to the Eventide Care Home of Lethbridge, 48-90022 Range Rd 211, Lethbridge AB T1J 5N9.
