After her marriage to Harvey Corns in 1945, they lived and raised their family on the farm near Grassy Lake. While living in Grassy Lake, she served on the Grassy Lake Seniors and Tourism and Performing Arts committees and also the Taber Arts and Crafts Society which later became The Pallette Club. She took great pleasure creating and sharing her art and gardening. Her interest in travel and painting took her on many memorable trips. Ivy moved from the farm into the Pleasant View Lodge in Bow Island in 2017, where she enjoyed being an active participant in all the activities.
