Cornelius Loewen

1942 - 2019

Cornelius Loewen went to heaven to be with his beloved wife Agatha on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at the age of 77 years.

Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, October 10, 2019 between 6:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M.

The Funeral Service was held at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. Burial followed at the Barnwell Cemetery.

Cornelius is survived by his eight children and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Cornelius was born May 5, 1942 in Mayfair, Saskatchewan to Frank and Helena Loewen. He met the love of his life, Agatha Enns in Barnwell in 1961, and he married her on July 15, 1962. He worked in the sawmill for over thirty years. Cornelius enjoyed woodworking as well as the outdoors, including hauling firewood and fishing.

In previous years dad struggled with religion, but in his search for meaning of life he found that Christ is all he needed, he said Jesus and Jesus only is all I need.
