Corrine was born in Viking on August 31, 1931 to Margaret and Peter Lindquist. They relocated to Fincastle and then to Taber where Corrine resided until 2017 when she moved to Medicine Hat to be near family. Corrine loved music and it became the focal point of her life very early on. She learned to play the piano at a young age. She joined her father and a group of great musicians and played for dances around the community to earn money for her piano lessons and took the bus to Lethbridge once a week to continue her training. She attended the Banff School of Fine Arts and completed her ARCT. She married Jerry Kinniburgh on October 20, 1951 and had two daughters Laurie and Patty. She began teaching piano lessons shortly after her marriage and continued to teach full time until her retirement. While teaching full time, Corrine helped Jerry maintain the farm south of Purple Springs taking on many jobs and keeping an organized home and business. She was also a member of the Taber Music Teachers Association and held office in the Eastern Star for many years. Corrine was an extremely talented pianist and also learned to play the alto sax in the community band. After Corrine retired, she took up golf and curling and loved spending time with her friends on and off the course. Corrine touched the lives of many throughout southern Alberta through her music and zest for life and was a revered and respected musician in the community.
