Jessie Fehr
1948 - 2019
Jessie Fehr, born Justina Neufeld in Mexico on February 27, 1948 passed into the hands of Jesus at her home in Taber on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at the age of 71 years.
Those who chose to pay their respects did so at the church prior to the funeral service between 1:00 P.M. and 1:45 P.M. The Funeral Service was held at the Evangelical Free Church, 5431 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.
Jessie spent her life in the service of others where ever she lived from the Foothills of the Rockies in Black Diamond where she raised her two children Andy and Cindy, to the open prairies where she settled with her husband of twenty eight years, Dave Fehr. From raising her children, to cleaning for others, to driving members of her community to and from appointments, Jessie worked tirelessly to care for the people who came into her life. The lives she touched were met with her infectious smile, her caring spirit and her positive energy.
Jessie loved to share not only her time but also her talents. She loved to knit and crochet dish cloths and pot holders and generously shared them with those around her. We are sure most Taber kitchens have a little of Jessie’s hand work in them. She also had an uncanny knack for fishing. She and Dave were avid fishers, she with a little more natural fish sense than Dave!
The community of Taber will shine a little less brightly in the coming days but we believe Jessie’s spirit will touch the hearts of others who will pick up the work she has left behind.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Jessie’s name may be made directly to a charity that is in keeping with her spirit of caring and giving.
Dave, Cindy, Andy and their families, both immediate and extended, are grateful for the outpouring of caring and well wishing and ask that you honour Jessie’s memory by caring for those who come into your life as Jessie cared for you.
