The Funeral Service was held at the Evangelical Free Church, 5431 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.

Lena is survived by her three children Margitta (Doug) Greeno of Taber, Hart Konrath of Taber and Dieter (Eleanor) Konrath of Wolfville, Nova Scotia; six grandchildren James Sandon (Christine) Greeno of St. Albert, Chelsey (Jason) Hamel of Medicine Hat, Lacey Zaiser of Coaldale, Megan Konrath of Calgary, Emily Konrath of Sackville, Nova Scotia and Beth Konrath of Harpenden, Herts, England; great grandchildren Trinity, Trace, Kaitlin, Kenadie, Mya and Bentley.

Lena was born January 30, 1925 to Jacob and Christina Nannt in Borodino, Bessarabia, Romania. In 1953 she married Traugott Konrath and in 1956 they immigrated to Canada. They settled in Medicine Hat where they worked and raised their three children. In 1992, Lena moved to Wrentham and in 1997 she moved to Taber, where she has resided until the time of her passing. Many fond and lasting friendships were made during these years. Lena had a special love for children. Besides her own grandchildren and great grandchildren, she was affectionately known to many as “Oma”. Lena was a very spiritual person. Her love of God  carried her through many challenges in life. She will be sadly missed and her memory will always be treasured in the hearts of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
