He is also survived by his siblings Irene Moen of The Pas, Manitoba, Ray (Margaret) Rempel of Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Don (Darlene) Rempel of Taber, Lynn (Fern) Rempel of Prairie View, Saskatchewan and Stan (Linda) Rempel of Craven, Saskatchewan; brothers-in-law Jerry Moen of The Pas, Manitoba, John (Mary) Unger of Winnipeg, Manitoba and by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father Isbrandt Rempel (1950), his mother Anne Klassen (2004), step father Dan Klassen (1981), son Percy Rempel (1971), brother Lloyd Rempel (1997) and sister-in-law Louise Rempel (2004).

Victor was born a spirited young man in Beaver Flat, Saskatchewan on May 19, 1933 to Anne (nee Friesen) and Isbrandt Rempel. He was formally educated to grade six and the remainder of his education was received from the “school of hard knocks”. Victor graduated from Bible school in 1957 where he met Margaret Unger and they were married later that year.

Victor’s passions included, but were not limited to, church and family, carpentry, mechanics, adult education, welding and anything he could make out of wood and tin. He could fix anything you broke, even his heart. While he didn’t always agree with our choices, we all knew we could go back home to regroup and that he loved us. We love you dad, you will be dearly missed.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Victor’s name may be made directly to the Gideons International in Canada, Box 3619, Guelph, Ontario N1H 7H2 www.gideons.ca.
