1941 - 2017

Andrew Edward Sheck, beloved companion of Darlene Hunt, passed away peacefully in Taber on Friday, June 16, 2017 at the age of 75 years.

 Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.

 The Funeral Service was held at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden. 

 Besides his companion Darlene, Andy is survived by his children Marianna (Jim) Spurrill of Killarney, Manitoba, Brian (Tammy) Hunt of Taber, Jeff (Tammy) Sheck of Edson, April (Jody) Jones of Taber, Danny (Sandy) Sheck of Wetaskiwin and Kenny (Chantelle) Sheck of Lethbridge. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, sister Diane Sheck, sister-in-law Bonnie (Phil) Wallbank as well as his very good friends, coffee buddies and neighbors, the Langkopf family.

 He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Elsie Sheck, brothers Emanuel and James, sister Joyce Whitesel, brother-in-law Dean Whitesel as well as numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

 Andy lived his life on his own terms. As a young man, he worked as a ranch hand and later on as a truck driver until he retired. Andy was not one to let life pass by. He found happiness in his hobbies which included wood working, playing music, drinking coffee, camping and the love of his life, fishing. Andy was not one to complain or speak ill of others. His happiest moments were always with his family and closest friends, sitting around the table enjoying a good meal or playing cards.
