Vaughn Smith

1954 - 2017

Vaughn Hugh Smith, beloved husband of Connie Bouey-Smith, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family in Taber on Friday, January 27, 2017. The day before his passing, Vaughn celebrated his sixty third birthday with his wife Connie and daughter Jen. He had a delicious supper followed by cake and balloons. The evening ended with him and Connie watching their favorite show together.

The Funeral Service was held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. Private burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.

Besides his loving wife Connie, Vaughn is survived by his daughter Jennifer Rae Angyal and her children Chase and Jayden; stepson Jason Olson and his son Keagan. He is also survived by his mother Florence Smith (nee Abel); his siblings Rod (Karen) Smith, Chris (Rick) Williams, Marj (Gary) Gorday, Leona (Ab) Nevil and by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father Hugh Smith in 1986 and by Connie’s parents John and Janet Bouey.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Vaughn’s name may be made to the Taber Dog Pound. He had a sincere love for dogs, especially his sweet “Stretch”.
